ABOUT ME

IMG_6549_edited.jpg

Hand lettered and written products. Sometimes I use an old school pen, sometimes I use an Apple pen! In short, I'll write anything for money!

Following graduation in Textiles from The Surrey Institute of Art and Design, I set up my Screen Printing studio in 2005. Words and handwriting have always played an integral part in my work from my degree to the present day.

Taking inspiration from vintage letters, extracts from diaries, and old postcards.

I believe the skill of a beautifully handwritten word has quickly become a lost art to e-mailing and texting. I wanted to create pieces from a time where a hand written note or letter was the only form of communication.

I spent many years working from Craft Central workspace in East London taking part in many exhibitions, craft shows and had my work published in various interior and design magazines, including Living etc and Country Living.

Fast forward to the present day. After a move from Essex to Lancashire and though a slight change in direction, words and hand writing still play an important part in my work and I began practising modern calligraphy and brush lettering.

My work now includes bespoke pieces, including personalised letters, favourite poems handwritten using dip pen and ink. Lots of personalised gifts, cake toppers, wedding invites, seasonal decorations,

In my range I hope to keep the nostalgic feel of receiving the timeless written word alive.
